Spring time birds

Spring has arrived here in the Wairarapa and the native birds around our property are busy with nest making and filling up on nectar from the all the flowering trees. It's wonderful to see them swooping across the back garden and landing in the trees right outside the windows, so intent on feeding that we can look at them through the glass only inches away.  This beautiful Tui was outside our window this morning while we were having our breakfast.
